It’s home from home

Nestling at the edge of the picturesque Rutland Water, there is an abundance of space at Manton Hall Care Home, both inside and out. The home provides a warm and secure environment, with spacious, furnished en-suite bedroom facilities. Together with a large lounge, dining area and conservatory’s there are varied areas that residents are welcome to access and use as their own.

Manton Hall is a purpose-built care home extended onto a grand country residence, providing 24-hour residential care in a comfortable and secure setting for the frail-elderly person and those with early stage to advanced dementia. The Home has 34 single bedrooms all tastefully decorated and fully furnished. We encourage residents to bring in their own belongings such as pictures and ornaments to personalize their rooms, to create a homely feel from the start.

Additionally, there is a large, secured garden and patio which is popular in the summer months and a courtyard with an all-weather heated garden room where residents can enjoy the sound of the birds and time to relax.

Meet the team

At Manton Hall we know the importance of caring for our residents with dignity and respect, and this is always at the forefront of everything we do. Our caring staff work alongside all the residents and their families to create a care plan to make sure our residents health and care needs are satisfied.

Without a doubt it is the staff are the most important element in creating a warm caring atmosphere for our residents. The homes reputation is the result of the quality of care given by our professional and fully trained care staff.

We understand the importance of appointing people who are committed to the ethos of the Home. Each member of staff undergoes a rigorous appointment procedure, including criminal checks, followed by a detailed induction process. Every team member accesses our own learning programmes delivered by accredited trainers “foundations to care”.

Our team of dedicated and trained professionals provides 24-hour care based on personal needs and levels of dependency of the residents. We regularly receive feedback on the excellent levels of care provided by staff. We experience a low turnover of staff, which is a testament to their commitment and job satisfaction in working at Manton Hall, resulting in consistently high standards of care to our residents.

Residential Support

Our residential suites offer bright and comfortable rooms which are individualised to each resident’s choice. Our home provides support when needed, whilst encouraging continued independence for individuals as much as possible.

This can include assistance with personal care, washing, dressing, bathing and taking medication. Each resident’s room provides a ‘home from home’ environment, which allows the individual to personalise their own space with their own personal belongings.

Residential care allows residents to be independent but are supported by staff to their specific care needs. Many of our residents choose this type of accommodation for the support, community atmosphere, and a feeling of being safe.

Residential Dementia Care

Dementia describes a set of symptoms that are associated with a decline in memory or other thinking skills, severe enough to reduce a person’s ability to perform everyday activities.

Our dementia care offers 24-hour support to those who are living with dementia and need assistance with everyday living, including support with personal care, daily living tasks and general care to ensure their happiness and wellbeing.

Dementia-friendly environments within our homes have been designed to specifically enhance the lives of those who need additional support to cope with the challenges that are associated with dementia. The decoration around the homes encourage stimulation and use tactile memorabilia and colourful communal spaces.

Short Term Respite Care

Caring independently for a loved one can be challenging at times and it is important to take regular breaks to recoup. We offer short term residential stays to support carers and families, allowing them time to have a break and some well-deserved rest and recuperation.

We offer both short and long stays, which can boost the support network of someone who is recovering from an accident or following a hospital stay and allow them to recuperate. You may want your loved one to experience living at our home for a short while before deciding to make the move more permanent. We are happy to discuss your needs at any point and will do all we can to ensure loved ones are happy and comfortable.

The cook is so helpful and both kind to our father and us.

Always smiling - tea and coffee always well received. The staff are all very helpful and caring, nothing is too much trouble. Dad looks well cared for and, although his Altziemer's is progressive, he is included in all activities, etc. Lynda W (Daughter of Resident)

The staff at Manton have all been brilliant with my mum

My mother was previously in another care home where she never settled and in fact, was sectioned under the Mental Health Act. After being released from hospital, I decided to place my mother in Manton Hall care home. My mother has been in Manton for over a year now and has settled very well and I can see she is much happier now. The staff at Manton have all been brilliant with my mum, she goes out on day trips and takes part in the many activities they put on each day. She also loves having her hair cut and blow-dried each week. I feel much happier knowing my mum is happy and being well looked after in a very caring environment where all the staff seem very happy. Peter K (Son of Resident)
