Recreational Activities

At Manton Hall, we offer you an exciting and stimulating programme of entertaining activities. Our programme includes armchair exercises, massage, arts and crafts, bingo, relaxation, cake decorating, dominoes and card games. Jigsaws, quizzes, reminiscence, gardening, knitting and crochet, fancy dress and sing-alongs all feature regularly.

We will encourage you to pursue your own interests and hobbies and staff members are always available to lend a hand when necessary. DVD players, large flat screen televisions and daily newspapers will provide you with entertainment and diversion. The Wii computer games console has received much enthusiasm from our residents who can now play sports from the comfort of their seats! Family members and the community are always welcome to volunteer with activities and events.

Special Events

Special events at Manton Hall are special indeed when celebrated together. Christmas, New Year, Easter, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Halloween, Bonfire night and July fourth are all commemorated with joyful festivities, whilst cream teas, barbeques and theme days are planned regularly to enhance the cheerful atmosphere. A delicious cake is presented to each resident on their birthday, often baked by their own friends at Manton Hall and decorated together.

Rutland Reminders visit us monthly and Pat the Dog, a programme to bring pets into care homes, lends us a cuddly friend to snuggle. Singers and entertainers are invited regularly to Manton Hall and add excitement and inspiration to our routine. You will bask in the picturesque surrounding rural area, and you can enjoy the scenic nature reserve, Rutland Water, which is just a stone’s throw from us.

Unique, independent, full of life

All of our residents enjoy their own care plan, tailored specifically for them. This allows us to build their care around their preferences, lifestyles and routines.

It’s all part of our philosophy to see the person for who they are, not masked by age or condition. Everything we do is driven by this genuinely caring, person centred approach, “making every moment matter, every day”
